The Christingle is an event where different children from various year groups come to The Freckleton Church. Some adults from school also attended; it was lovely to see Mrs Shuttleworth and Mrs Butcher. The parents came to watch the children too. As the choir we sang songs, which were Away In A Manger, Christingle Song, Back In Your Hands (By Craig David), and Celebrate.
The main part of the Christingle was when we received our orange. It is decorated in such a way that represents our wonderful Earth. A red ribbon, which represents God’s love and pain is wrapped around the middle of the orange. Toothpicks represent the four seasons and have sweets on them that represent the fruit and veg that God provides for us humans and animals. Personally, my favourite song we sung was Back In Your Hands (By Craig David). It is a lovely service and we’d love more children to attend next year’s Christingle.
