Special Educational Needs
The SEND Reforms will place a statutory requirement on schools from September 2014 to make information available to parents about how the school supports children and young people with SEN. This information will form the main basis for the school’s Local Offer, which has to be published on the school’s website.

The SEND Information Advice & Support Service:
This is a dedicated information & support service for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families. This service is impartial, confidential and free. It can help you gather , understand and interpret information and apply it to your own situation.
They can help by
– Discussing your concerns about special education needs & disabilities (SEND)
– Explain SEND policies & procedures in Lancashire
– Assist you with SEND paperwork
– Liaise between you, your nursery, school or college & other professionals
– Support you with relevant meetings
– Signpost you to other sources of support about SEND.
