Welcome to Oak Class!
Miss Russell and Mrs Bowerman would like to welcome you our class page.
Here are some up to date photographs of our classroom…
We have lots of areas of provision in our class including a ‘Make and Create’ area, Construction area, malleable area and a role play corner. We encourage the children to access all the areas as independently as possible and we always make sure we work together and support each other when we can.
We are also lucky enough to have not one, but two outdoor spaces for the children to access! If outdoor learning is as important to you as it is to us, just look at our wonderful outdoor learning spaces in action!
What our EYFS setting offers.
In Oak Class, we create a stimulating learning environment and build strong relationships with both the children and the families in order to best support, enhance and develop each child regardless of background, circumstances or needs. We work collaboratively with parents to encourage independent, enthusiastic learners who thrive and reach their full potential. The staff in Oak Class use Home Visits and induction sessions to allow them to consideration the starting points and needs of our each individual pupils as they begin their learning journey.
Every child has access to a broad, progressive and differentiated curriculum that prepares them for now and for the future in terms of opportunities and experiences.
Our EYFS curriculum enable our children to be:
-
-
Competent and creative learners who are curious about the world around them.
-
Secure and confident who enjoy coming to school and learning new skills and knowledge building on their existing learning.
-
Critical thinkers who are given the opportunity to lead their own learning and test, execute and develop their own ideas.
-
Skilful communicators who connect with others through language and play, ensuring that they play in a vocabulary rich environment.
-
